Med-Peds Hospital Medicine in Colorado

Website Aspen Valley Hospital

We are growing again in Aspen – expanding our team to accommodate 2 Med/Peds Hospitalists AND a daytime IM hospitalist (will entertain experienced FP candidates for daytime position) to meet our hospital community’s growing needs.  Practice as a true Med/Peds Physician, seeing patients from birth through geriatrics on the same day, and in the same hospital. Or join us as a daytime adult hospitalist to develop a co-management team.

Going to work is a whole lot easier when your “office” is in a mountain resort community like no other. High in the beautiful Elk Mountains, Aspen, Colorado offers unprecedented access to world-class Alpine and Nordic skiing, dining, culture, mountains, and outdoor pursuits – you can even watch the X-games in person!  Aspen Valley Hospital is a unique Critical Access Hospital, with a rich and colorful history dating back to the silver mining days of the 1800’s. From humble beginnings, the Hospital has become the backbone of our community. The population of the Roaring Fork Valley has invested time, talent, and resources to ensure our community has access to high-quality healthcare. Today, Aspen Valley Hospital is one of the most sophisticated rural, critical access hospitals in the country.  In fact, we are the only Critical Access Hospital in the US with our own Epic EHR.

The diversity of patients, physician roles, and opportunities here are unmatched. Our competitive pay starts at more than $350K for new residency graduates, and even more for experienced hospitalists. We offer one of the best benefits packages in the country. Come live in the quaint and beautiful Aspen/Snowmass area (we will consider a commuter from a regional city). The uniquely low number of shifts and high pay accommodates an excellent work-life balance.  Check out what makes Aspen Valley Hospital a special place to work and play.
